    Praiano and the Amalfi Coast

Praiano is of course not on the same scale as Rome or Venice, but we like to think we have interesting spectacles to offer you!  Inside the medieval guard tower, you may visit local painter and ceramics man Paul Sandulli to view his work – don’t be surprised by his companions however, he is know to occasionally be accompanied by his dog and a goat!

At the top of the hill (with views to match) is the Praiano church – built in the 1500’s and rebuilt in 1772 (and all this on top of the pre-existing church which dates back to 1123!) you can view the beautiful interior where Saint Luca’s remains are kept.

The beach here is the only one in the vicinity to get the sun all day long, ideal for a lazy day of sun, sea and sand!

This is really a wonderful little town to stroll around, and you will find many interesting nooks and crannies.

The Amalfi Coast

The Amalfi Coast offers many other towns, which are easily accessible either via road using public transport or a hire car, or by sea.  Why not spend a day in Minori, Scala or Cetara, to name but a few?

Another town to see is Positano, where John Steinbeck wrote his essay – “"It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone."  How can you beat that?!

Once you have visited our Amalfi Coast, you will want to come back again and again!
